As for the choppiness you have mentioned, I can tell you that I also ran into that watching it via a computer almost every conference so it sounds like it is at least as good as what the computer can offer which is acceptable and a welcome option! We actually cut out cable earlier this year. I've made a <a href="http://slightlyinsightful.com/2011/01/30/cutting-out-cable/" rel="nofollow">couple</a> of <a href="http://slightlyinsightful.com/2011/02/12/the-great-streaming-media-experiment-of-2011/" rel="nofollow">posts</a> about it on my blog. We went with a Roku XDS with Netflix and Hulu Plus. So far, no real complaints. We miss a few CBS and TNT shows, but no enough to make us fork over $60+ for cable. Nice write up. We actually cut out cable earlier this year.

If you're using it to watch conference today (2 April) be sure to go to the Roku Channel Store, let it load, and then go back to the Roku Homescreen.
